This is an in-person (4-hour) course that addresses the Run. Hide. Fight. response paradigm and guides non-traditional first responders in the various ways these methods can be employed. Because active threat incidents can occur anywhere, participants are encouraged to apply principles from this course to plans and procedures in their workplaces. The course covers the basic principles of the response paradigm as it pertains to response in the event of an active threat incident.

The course prescribes best practices to common communication pitfalls and provides flexible and scalable solutions to a wide-range of scenarios. The training leverages a combination of exercises, discussions, and activities to optimize participant experience.

This two-day course is for public safety officials, venue operators, event planners, and other stakeholders responsible for safety and security at sport and special events. The training will provide participants with tools and techniques to assist with conducting crowd management and crowd control operations before, during, and after an event or incident. The course content is scalable and applicable to all sports and special events regardless of venue size, capacity, or type of event.
