This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.  More information on workplace discrimination rights is available from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)

We strive to treat all employees fairly, with consistency and respect, while providing a positive, challenging, and rewarding work experience. We value and encourage diversity in our workplace.

E-Verification

MARC is an E-Verify Employer. Applicants must possess current legal authorization to work in the US and not require sponsorship now or in the future (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status). MARC also adheres to the Employee Rights Under the Revised FMLA.

Limits on Political Activity

MARC is subject to the provisions of the federal Hatch Act. The act restricts the political activity of individuals who work in connection with programs financed in whole or in part by federal loans and grants. All MARC employees must observe certain guidelines and restrictions on political activity. For example, MARC employees may not run for public office in partisan elections, and people who currently serve as elected officials may not be eligible for employment at MARC.

Accommodations

The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ensures you the right to reasonable accommodations. An accommodation request will not affect your opportunities for employment with MARC. If you have a disability that requires an accommodation for completing an online application form, interviewing, or any other part of the employment process, arrangement will be made. Please submit a webform or call 816-474-4240 and ask for a human resources representative to make your request. It is your responsibility to make your needs known to human resources.
