The region’s public health directors are asking Kansas City metro residents to help ease the mounting pressure on area hospitals by taking steps to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Over 4,000 young people from across the Kansas City region attended the first-ever virtual Public Service Career Expo in November.

The 11th Annual Greater KC Workforce and Education Summit was held on Dec. 7 and drew more than 150 participants to the virtual program.

Given the depth of the recession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the region’s economic recovery has exceeded expectations and is now moving into the expansion phase, according to Frank Lenk, MARC’s director of Research Services.

This season, we are thankful for many things including our region’s local public health departments for their commitment to keeping our communities safe.
