Electric Vehicle Readiness Plan

The Mid-American Regional Council (MARC) is working with a steering committee, local governments, utility providers, and other electric vehicle infrastructure stakeholders to develop the Kansas City Regional EV Readiness Plan

Based on stakeholder input, data analyses, and other information, the plan will complement the electrification strategies described in other plans throughout the region. It will also support equitable expansion of the EV charging network, reinforce EV use as a mode of clean transportation, and more. You can get involved by responding to the survey through August 31, 2024. Your responses will help inform improvement strategies needed to help the region become more EV ready.

Connected Freight KC 2050

MARC, in coordination with Lawrence-Douglas Metropolitan Planning Organization and Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Commission, is developing Connected Freight KC 2050 - A Plan in Action. It will consider regional, state, and national contexts while positioning our communities to proactively address shifts in the industry.

Freight industry staff, leaders, officials, and others from the Lawrence-Douglas County, Kansas area to west central Missouri are invited to participate. Simply respond to the 10-minute opinion survey through August 31, 2024. Please forward the survey to other interested parties.
