MARC helps 911 dispatchers and commanders around the region better cope with personal- and job-related stress through Peer Support programs

In June, commanders from across the region participated in the War Horses First Responder Program after completing MARC’s pilot leadership program focusing on mentorship. The program in Stilwell, Kansas, helps people heal from depression, anxiety and PTSD.

War Horses offers emotional support to first responders facing exposure to high-stress and traumatic events. The program teaches participants mindfulness techniques, relaxation exercises and coping strategies to deal with personal and professional crises.
