Resilient Success Stories: Leaders meet to honor examples of climate resiliency

12 Honorees and Six Honorable Mentions

The Nature Action Crew, sponsored by the Heartland Conservation Alliance, was recognized for their habitat restoration and invasive species removal work in the Blue River Watershed.

The presentations allowed participants to better understand the projects' impacts across the metropolitan area. The showcased stories (along with six projects receiving honorable mentions) demonstrated ways that organizations can transform communities and create a more resilient region.

New Leadership for Climate Action KC

Leadership old and new pass the baton as Climate Action KC continues to champion resiliency and sustainability in our region.

The event culminated in the leaders of Climate Action KC presenting Lindsey Constance and incoming Johnson County, Kansas, Commission Chair Mike Kelly with the first-ever Climate Action KC Founders Award.
