Your voice is needed to shape the region's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy plan

As the economic development district for the nine-county Kansas City metropolitan region, MARC regularly prepares a regional economic development plan.

The draft 2024-2029 CEDS Plan provides an economic roadmap to help guide investments to further diversify and strengthen the regional economy. The plan offers insights into the region’s economic competitiveness with a focus on how public and private investments could create a more prosperous and inclusive economy through:

  • Focused business investments
  • Entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Workforce development
  • Place-based investments
  • Regional leadership
