The Mid-America Regional Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristi Bohling-DaMetz as MARC’s new director of Aging and Adult Services.

Bohling-DaMetz joins MARC with over 25 years of experience in health, education, nonprofit leadership and civic engagement. She currently serves as CEO of HealthTeamWorks and the Iowa Chronic Care Consortium, nonprofit entities dedicated to transforming health care through performance improvement, organization development and training. She is a registered nurse, with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master of Business Administration.

In her role as director of Aging and Adult Services, Bohling-DaMetz will lead an outstanding and innovative team as they deliver quality critical services to older adults and people in need through a comprehensive model of integrated care. She will engage with partners throughout the Kansas City region to expand and grow this important system – advancing health and social outcomes and supporting effectiveness and innovation in the regional health and social services systems.

“Improving the health and well-being of people through collaboration of vital community partners is Kristi’s passion. We are excited to add her leadership and her extensive experience to the Kansas City region,” said David Warm, MARC executive director. “We believe her excellent communication and relationship-building skills will be instrumental in moving this important work forward.”

“I’m honored to join such an outstanding MARC team that is doing such meaningful work in and across our community. I look forward to working alongside the Kansas City region’s innovative health and community-based organizations with shared urgency to improve equitable health outcomes.”
