The Mid-America Regional Council’s (MARC) Department of Early Learning was awarded a contract with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Office of Childhood (OOC) to implement and provide oversight for a Collaborative Network to increase childcare workforce knowledge and skills when working with children in early education. 

MARC’s Department of Early Learning is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Collaborative Network Project Support Manager. This position entails collaborating with MARC employees, contractors and subrecipients to ensure deadlines are met, documents are stored properly and easily accessible and data is collected and secured.

Contractor Services

  • The project support manager will obtain a Missouri Professional Development Identification (MOPD ID) and at least 12 clock hours of early childhood training each year.
  • The project support manager will participate in monthly Collaborative Network meetings with the MARC Collaborative Network team and other agencies involved in the service delivery.
  • The project support manager will participate in ongoing check-ins with the Collaborative Network Coordinators, Manager and Shared Services Director to assess service delivery and to ensure all requirements of the Collaborative Network are met as outlined in the RFP.
  • The project manager will maintain systems for document collection and storage with an accountability system.
  • The project manager will maintain systems to ensure that funder deadlines are met and a way to alert staff and partners if there may be an issue with meeting a deadline.
  • The project manager will familiarize themselves with the collaborative network RFPs and conduct regular checks to ensure that we are in compliance.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess the following credentials and experience:
  • A four year degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Child Development, Social Work, or a closely related field to be approved by the state agency;
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in the area of early childhood development; and
  • At least five years of professional work experience in the area of early childhood development, including three (3) years working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and/or school-age children.
  • Working knowledge of general computer operations required. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel and familiarity with e-mail and internet functions.
  • Applicants must be comfortable using videoconferencing, if necessary.
  • Must have Internet access and cell phone with long-distance calling plan and reliable transportation.
  • Must successfully pass background check.

Compensation

The MARC Collaborative Project Support Manager will be compensated at a flat rate of $4,444 per month, within 30 days of receiving a monthly invoice.
