Quarterly meeting for the Public Safety Communication Users committee. 

All PSAP personnel are encouraged to attend and participate in committee activities.

This is an 8-hour course that will satisfy the requirements to maintain certification for a hazardous material technician. This course will review applicable laws, regulations, standards, scene management, utilizing relevant technical documents and review selection of PPE and decontamination methods.

The next meeting of the Public Safety Communications Board is scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held in person at the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) office: 600 Broadway, Suite 200, Kansas City, Missouri 64105  We will meet in the Westview Room on the second floor of the Rivergate Building.

A hybrid option will be available for those joining virtually.

This 8-hour, instructor-led course prepares emergency responders to safely and effectively manage battery-related incidents using a risk-based response approach. Participants learn battery construction and chemistry, hazard recognition, thermal runaway response, air monitoring, and fireground strategy and tactics. The training combines classroom instruction with hands-on application and covers battery emergencies in transportation, residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

This 8-hour, instructor-led course prepares emergency responders to safely and effectively manage battery-related incidents using a risk-based response approach. The O-305 is a five-day (40 hour) course that provides students with a solid foundation of the activities, processes, leadership elements, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) necessary to function within the framework of a Type 3 All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT) deployed to an incident or planned event. The course is considered fast-paced, highly interactive, and challenging as the students, formed into the Command and General Staff positions on an AHIMT navigate through multiple activities and rapidly expanding incident scenarios.

The O-305 is a five-day (40 hour) course that provides students with a solid foundation of the activities, processes, leadership elements, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) necessary to function within the framework of a Type 3 All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT) deployed to an incident or planned event.
