Training Description

The first two years of life are a time of incredible developmental growth and change. We expect most children to follow a predictable pattern of change when it comes to motor, language and social skills. In this training, come learn about infant and toddler milestones, how to monitor progress for infants and toddlers and the steps to take if a child is not meeting milestones.

Training Description

This training will bring to light the importance of positive interactions between providers and the children they care for. Providers will learn how to properly engage with infants and toddlers and what children will gain from those teacher-child interactions.

1.5 Missouri clock hours will be given. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

Training Description

Fostering independence in young children builds self-esteem and self-confidence and helps to avoid over-reliance on adults. This training will focus on developmentally appropriate practice to help infants and toddlers begin to foster independence in various areas including self-feeding, toileting and handwashing, dressing independently and helping with daily tasks.

Learning how to communicate through language is one of the most important feats of human development. This training will cover how children learn language and consistent changes you can expect to see in children’s language skills throughout the first two years of life. Strategies will be given for how to support children’s language development to set them on a trajectory for success.
