The research is clear! Social-emotional skills are essential in the healthy development of all children. In this presentation, we will look at seven key areas of social-emotional development and practical ideas on how to support the development of skills.

Training Description

Gross motor skill development is an important part of early childhood. Children need time and space throughout the day to engage in gross motor activities. What if it is too hot or too cold or raining outside? This course will focus on strategies for incorporating gross motor activities inside your home-based program.

Temperament is defined as an innate quality we are born with. While it may modify due to our life experiences, in general it doesn't make huge shifts. Why does this matter? As early childhood professionals the more we understand the better able we are to match our teaching to the individual needs of the children we serve.

Come take a deeper look into developmentally appropriate practice (DAP). DAP helps providers base all practices and decisions with the goal of nurturing children’s social and emotional, physical and cognitive development and in turn, helps establish a safe and supportive learning environment.
