Science is about experiencing, observing and making sense of the world around you. Come discover ways to include science in the preschool classroom and join us as we discover how to turn preschoolers into scientists.

Training Description

This training we will discuss the importance of being able to address challenging behavior. We will discuss the importance of connection with children as well as adults keeping their own composure when addressing these behaviors. We will discuss techniques about how to work with the children to improve behaviors, the cause of why the behaviors happens, and working to partner with families to improve outcomes.

Training Description

The number of dual language learners has increased dramatically in Missouri in the last 20 years. One out of every 10 children in Missouri are dual language learners. This training will cover strategies for overcoming language barriers, how to assist preschoolers who are learning more than one language, stages of dual language development and strategies to support children's dual language development in the preschool classroom.

Habits formed in early childhood can last a lifetime, so it is important that young children learn healthy eating habits. This training will focus on strategies for teaching young children in home based programs about good nutrition and making healthy food choices.
