Training Description

Temperament is defined as an innate quality we are born with. While it may modify due to our life experiences, in general it doesn't make huge shifts. Why does this matter? As early childhood professionals the more we understand the better able we are to match our teaching to the individual needs of the children we serve.

Two Missouri clock hours will be given. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

Learning about temperaments can help teachers better understand and explain a child’s behavior, which can lead to more responsive, individualized care for infants and toddlers.

Come take a deeper look into developmentally appropriate practice (DAP). DAP helps providers base all practices and decisions with the goal of nurturing children’s social and emotional, physical and cognitive development and in turn, helps establish a safe and supportive learning environment.

This training will focus on the various transition times for preschoolers during the day. Transition tips will be shared to assist in creating smooth transitions when working with a group of preschoolers.
