MARC employees volunteering to clean up Berkley Riverfront Park

Registration is open for this year's region-wide cleanup event!

The Kansas City Plogtober Cleanup is a great way to get outdoors and get some exercise while engaging in a socially responsible activity that beautifies the streamside trails in your community.

Trash that ends up on the ground ends up in our water systems, polluting ecosystems and killing vital organisms.

This year’s event will take place throughout October across dozens of parks, trails and neighborhoods in the Kansas City region. Sign up for one of our pre-arranged cleanup sites on Oct. 14 or Oct. 21, depending on location.

You can also submit your own team (or fly solo) and pick up litter on your own block throughout the month of October. The county with the highest volunteer count wins bragging rights as the region’s Top Plogger! Share your haul on social media at #KCPlogtober for a chance at individual prizes, too.
