Local Government Services
Through MARC, local governments collaborate in a number of programs and systems
Key policy issues for 2015
MARC has identified shared local government services as a key policy issue for 2015. MARC staff will work to explore possibilities for additional shared local government services, including enhanced cooperative purchasing, and information technology that could help local governments work more efficiently and save resources. Other key issues include: MARC’s continued facilitation of CORE4 activities (City of Kansas City, Mo., Jackson County, Mo., Johnson County, Kan. and the Unified Government); and creating a regional strategy for cooperative minority recruitment for local government positions.
