MARC-sponsored community centers provide a comfortable place for older adults to share a meal, learn new skills, share their expertise and participate in activities. Centered on the needs and interests of the participants, those who attend find that each center has its own unique character and that no two days are the same!
With locations throughout Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties, the MARC centers serve as an important resource promoting good nutrition, healthy lifestyles, active socialization and community participation.
MARC-sponsored centers provide services to any individual aged 60 years or older, as well as their eligible spouses. Limited services may be available to those who are aged 18-59 and disabled. Contact your local center for more information.
The services are provided at no set cost to an eligible participant. However, eligible participants are encouraged to make voluntary contributions toward the cost of the meals they receive. Ineligible participants (those under the age of 60 and not disabled) will be required to pay for meals.
