Our services, programs and advocacy help older adults and their caregivers to be resilient. They are designed to keep individuals healthy and in the community.

In-Home Services

In-home services include light housekeeping, chores and personal care, such as assistance with bathing.

Home-Delivered Meals

MARC works with vendors to deliver meals to homebound older adults in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri. The quality, nutritional value and portion size of these home-delivered meals are evaluated by dieticians to ensure they meet the needs of recipients.

Meals Together

Meals are offered at sites throughout our area. At some sites, fresh salad bar options are available. Meals Together offers a healthy, low-cost option for those who are able to leave their homes.

Long-term Care Ombudsman program

An ombudsman is a neutral, third-party representative who can listen to concerns about care or quality of life for residents of long-term care facilities, and advocates for them. MARC’s trained community volunteers respond to requests from residents, family members or long-term care facilities.

Transportation 

We contract with local transportation companies to provide transportation for needed trips, such as to the grocery store, to the doctor’s office or other destinations. A consumer-directed program for lift-ramp vehicles is available for individuals requiring the use of mobility devices.

MARC’s Aging and Adult Services department acknowledges the valuable contribution of caregivers in our community and offers an array of services and supports to meet their unique needs.

Home Modification and Repair program

MARC’s Department of Aging and Adult Services partners with area non-profits to provide minor home modifications and repairs for caregivers and adults age 60+. The goal of this program is to reduce caregiver burden and help clients age in place with safety and independence. This program is available to those in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri.
