Benefits presentation at Belton Senior Center

On March 15, Penny Humphrey of Care Connection for Aging Services, spoke to patrons at the Belton Senior Center about programs that are available to assist older adults, including MO HealthNet, MO-Rx, SNAP, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, and more. The presentation included a "quiz show" game complete with prizes for participants.


Age Positive 2017 Conference

Are you a professional or volunteer who works with older adults in the Greater Kansas City area? If so, we invite you to attend Age Positive 2017: Ideas for an Age-Friendly Future on Tuesday, April 18, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This one-day conference will offer innovative ideas to help you enhance current programs and develop new ones. Hosted by a partnership of regional organizations, this low-cost event will be held at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center, 4801 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, Missouri.


Miles for Meals

The Miles for Meals 5K run and 2K walk will be held April 30, 2017. The event raises money to feed older adults in Platte County, Missouri, through Platte Senior Services.

The walk will be held at Zona Rosa, 8640 N. Dixson Avenue in Kansas City, MIssouri. Registration starts at 7:45 at the Town Square, and the race starts at 8:30 a.m.
