Regional Pedestrian Policy Plan

MARC recognizes the essential role walkability plays in a regional multimodal transportation system. Walkability affects how we get to work and school, our health through exercise for both transportation and recreation, our access to transit, the quality of the air we breathe, our economic vitality, and our safety as transportation users.

MARC's Regional Pedestrian Policy Plan synthesizes a regional vision to improve walkability across jurisdictional boundaries through policies, plans and programs. It also coordinates planning efforts at the regional level and provides best practices to address walkability at the local level, and provides recommendations to enhance regional and local efforts.
