Disadvantaged Business Enterprise ProgramIt is MARC's policy to encourage all qualified businesses to actively participate in the procurement of all MARC-sponsored contracts. MARC does not discriminate based on race, color, sex, national origin, age, military status or disability. MARC has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), 49 CFR, part 26. You are encouraged to comment on the current DBE Program. DBE program descriptionIt is MARC's policy to ensure that DBEs, as defined in part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in USDOT-assisted contracts. It is also MARC's policy:
MARC's 2007 programMARC's 2007 goal was for 6.5 percent of the federal funds allocated through USDOT-assisted contracts in the region be expended with DBEs. MARC's 2008 programMARC's 2008 goal is for 9 percent of the federal funds allocated through USDOT-assisted contracts in the region be expended with DBEs. MARC's 2010 program - PROPOSEDDue to receiving federal TIGER stimulus funding in 2010, MARC must recalculate its DBE participation goal. MARC recommends increasing its DBE goal for 2010 to 13 percent of federal funds allocated through USDOT-assisted contracts in the region to be expended with DBEs.
