Plan Development

The Destination Safe Data Subcommittee reviewed regional data and determined the emphasis areas for this plan.

Open discussions for each emphasis area allowed stakeholders to provide input on what is important in a safety plan from their perspectives.

MARC staff researched resources and countermeasures that will help users of this plan to work effectively on its goals.

Members of the Destination Safe Coalition, its subcommittees, and regional stakeholders reviewed and provided input throughout the development of this plan.

An online survey solicited input from the public. In addition to being shared on Destination Safe social media channels, partner organizations were asked to share with their networks as well.

The Destination Safe Coalition adopted the plan on July 27, 2022.
