The MARC Board of Directors approved the 2023 MARC Budget and Work Plan on Dec. 20, 2022.

MARC is funded by federal, state and private grants; local dues and contributions; and fees for services. The 2023 budget includes $109,520,234 in expenditures with 74% of these funds being passed on to partners in the region.

The budget and work plan retains MARC's long-term commitment to sound fiscal management and good stewardship of the funds entrusted to us. Increases from the 2022 to 2023 budget are primarily attributable to several large new grants, including:

  • Bi-State Sustainable Reinvestment Corridor ($7 million)
  • CRRSAA Regional Overlay ($8.4 million)
  • PSP ($1.8 million)
  • Regional Housing Partnership ($1.9 million)
  • Urban Areas Security Initiative ($1.4 million)
  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration ($2.95 million)
  • Early Learning Collaborative ($3 million)
