Paramedic Scholarships

One of MARCER's goals is to ensure the highest quality of pre-hospital care in the Kansas City region. To help ensure this goal, the committee has established the MARCER Paramedic Scholarship Program.

The MARCER Paramedic Scholarship Program will annually award seven scholarships of $1,000 each to deserving residents or non-residents that are employees of EMS agencies of Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri and Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami and Wyandotte counties in Kansas.

Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and demonstrate a desire and commitment to serve the public as a paramedic in the MARCER region on successful completion of the program.

Applications will be accepted and reviewed twice each year (spring and fall). Application packets must include the following:

  • Resume
  • Copy of current EMT-B registry card
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Proof of enrollment and good standing in an eligible paramedic training program

Application packets should be mailed to:
