Identifying risks, coordinating response
The Regional Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Plan is the primary planning document for the Mid-America LEPC. It provides a framework for hazardous materials planning and response in the areas served by the Mid-America LEPC, including Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte, and Ray counties and the city of Kansas City in Missouri, and Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties in Kansas.
Regular meetings of the Mid-America Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) are held on the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the MARC Conference Center, 600 Broadway, Kansas City, Mo.
All meetings are listed on the emergency services calendar and are open to the public. To request meeting summaries or agendas, please call MARC's Emergency Services staff at 816/474-4240.
